Fabric care and cleaning

Cleaning velvet upholstery can be difficult, as it’s not always possible to remove the fabric for professional dry cleaning. Fortunately, there are several effective ways to keep upholstery clean.

Regular cleaning will extend the life of velvet upholstery and maintain its appearance. Dust settles on upholstered furniture and will combine with built-up dirt to make the fabric more difficult to clean.

To prevent overall soiling, vacuum lightly with a soft brush on a regular basis to remove dust and grime.

We recommend treating all upholstery fabrics with a soil-repellent finish, to extend the life of your velvet.
